Player: Justin Rose

Hometown: Hook, England (county: Hampshire)

Birthplace: Johannesburg, South Africa

Wondering about some of those clues? Justin Rose was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but he moved to the small town of Hook in Hampshire, England, when he was five years old. Elizabeth Hurley is from Basingstoke, Hampshire, (10 minutes away) and Kate Winslet is from Reading, Berkshire (30 minutes away). Rose is currently 6th in Official World Golf Ranking, and his best TOUR finish was a tie for second at the 2007 World Golf Championships -- Bridgestone Invitational and at the 2006 Valero Texas Open. In 1998, as an amateur, Rose pitched in at the last hole to tie for fourth place and turned professional the next day. The boxing hint? Rose's hometown (though he now lives in London and Orlando) is Hook, as in, he's got a great right hook... Rose's father, Ken Rose, battled leukemia for two years before passing away in 2002. When they still lived in Johannesburg, Ken handed Justin a plastic club, which he swung in his back yard before he was even a year old. They built on those early skills together from a young age at Hartley Wintney Golf Club in Hook after they moved to the UK.
