In honor of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the Champions Tour players weighed in on the most talented celebrity golfers, which included actors, actresses or sports figures. Who did they pick?

Ed Dougherty:
I played with Jack Wagner once at the Las Vegas Invitational and he's a great golfer. I remember watching him on TV the year he won the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.

Vince Gill (left), seen here with Champions Tour player David Eger, frequently plays in Champions Tour pro-ams.

Dana Quigley: Derek Lowe, formerly with the Boston Red Sox, now with the LA Dodgers. He's a scratch golfer, I've played with him and he went into the pro-am with me with six shots and he was really, really good. I like playing with Derek a lot.

Tom Purtzer: Vince Gill. He comes out here to the Champions Tour and plays a lot.

Dave Stockton: Out of my year, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby for what they did for the sport. If I had to pick one, I'd say Bing Crosby.

Jay Haas: Used to be Jack Wagner. I don't know if he is still as good as he was. He used to be a scratch player. I haven't seen him in a long time. You know Michael (Jordan), I guess you consider him a celebrity but I think of celebrity as an actor or actress. I put my vote in for Jack.

Loren Roberts: I played with Stan Smith the tennis player for a couple of years. He's probably the best player of the celebrities I've played with. I know there's some really good players, a couple of football and hockey, but I think Stan Smith is the best celebrity or athlete that I've played with.

Walter Hall: The best celebrity golfer is probably Tony Romo. He's a pretty good player.

D.A. Weibring: I guess maybe the first person that pops into my head in 2008 and he's an athlete but he's also on the celebrity side is Tony Romo. I live in Dallas and I haven't met Tony personally, we've exchanged a few messages, but I've watched Tony play and I know some of the guys who've played with him at home and he's a very good player. He loves the game, too. He tried to qualify for the EDS Byron Nelson, the U.S. Amateur and he played in the U.S. Open challenge that they had. He might be the best out there right now.

Tom Jenkins: The best celebrity golfer. It's gotta be a sports figure. I'd say Bill Murray but he's not the best though. He's pretty good, though, so I'll say him for the sake of being funny.

Joey Sindelar: I've been tattooed by a couple of celebrities. I'd had quite a long vacation -- I think I had had an injury -- the year that Dan Quayle went out of office. I played with him in the pro-am in the then Kemper Open. And, if I remember, he was playing the whites and I was playing the blues but he tattooed me. He gets my respect. Vince Gill took me down, too. I'm making my excuses because I have the chance to make excuses here. I had been on six or seven months off from a hand surgery and my first tournament back was Bay Hill and I played with him in the pro-am and he's a very good golfer. He just put me to shame. It's fun, there are a lot of good players that just flat out love the game. Maury Povich he plays in the Senior British Amateur, he loves it absolutely. Not Chris Berman, though he's a very good friend. It's not him (as the best golfer) but nobody loves the game more.
