MORE TOP 100 PLAYERS: BACK to Player No. 93 | FORWARD to Player No. 91 | Top 100 Archive

John Rollins had been making steady progress in recent years, moving from 99th on the money list in 2005 to 59th in '06 and 24th in '07. Curiously, he went backwards last year, finishing a distant 103rd. Rollins, who had two runner-up finishes in his first five events in 2007, started slowly in 2008. A tie for ninth at the Buick Open and that share of second a month later in Reno seemed to signal that he was back on track but Rollins didn't finish higher than 33rd down the stretch. Rollins still made more than $1 million, but the two-time TOUR champ wants more. Finding more greens and hitting the ball closer when he does is key - Rollins ranked 136th in GIR this year and he's outside the top 100 in distance from the pin on his approaches in every category except from 75-100 yards. -- Helen Ross
