One of four rookies to win on TOUR this year, Turnesa -- who had never teed it up in a PGA TOUR event prior to the Sony Open in Hawaii last January -- now has a two-year window to continue his learning curve. His win at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open came somewhat out of the blue -- although the N.C. State grad had opened the Fall Series with a playoff loss at the Viking Classic. Those were his only two top-10s of the season. Turnesa carried the family tradition on when he won in Las Vegas. His grandfather, Mike, was a six-time winner on TOUR and runner-up to Ben Hogan at the 1948 PGA. Five of his grandfather's brothers also played the TOUR while the sixth won two U.S. Amateurs. -- Helen Ross
The chart above represents this player's rank on TOUR in 2008 for five skill ratings categories. Each category is based on an aggregate score which is calculated from key statistics for that skill area.
