Jason Day faces an uphill battle in 2009 after finishing 136th on the TOUR money list as a rookie last year. The young Aussie, who turned 21 in November, will have conditional status and he'll need to make his starts count. That said, no one doubts Day has talent after he won on the Nationwide Tour in 2007 as a 19-year-old. He started his rookie campaign on TOUR like gangbusters, too - finishing sixth at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. His only other top-10, though, came in the middle of eight missed cuts as Day battled a nagging back injury. Day ended the season on a fairly positive note, posting three top-25s in the Fall Series, including a tie for 16th in the season finale. -- Helen Ross

Jason had to be disappointed with his rookie campaign. Plagued by injury to start the year he never really got on track.
