Paul Goydos enters the 2009 season in the second of a two-year exemption he received for winning the 2007 Sony Open in Hawaii. That ended an 11-year victory drought and frequent flirtations with the top 125 cutoff for playing privileges. The man they call "Sunshine" topped $1 million for the second consecutive year thanks to a playoff loss to Sergio Garcia at THE PLAYERS Championship. Goydos actually took a three-stroke lead into the final round but hit his tee shot into the water on the first playoff hole, the infamous par-3 17th. The $1.026 million Goydos pocketed, though, did wonders to soothe the disappointment. He had two other top-10 finishes in 2008, including a tie for seventh in his final event at the Frys.com Open. -- Helen Ross
