If history can be believed, the 2009 season should be a good one for Charles Howell III. Starting with 2003, he has earned more than $2 million in every odd-numbered year. More importantly for Howell in 2009, though, will be finishing what he started. He was tied with Tag Ridings entering the final round of last year's Turning Stone Resort Championship -- making the fifth time he had been on that position -- and he has never gone on to win. Howell, who has 10 second-place finishes, ended up tied for third at Turning Stone after closing with a 73. The former Oklahoma State All-American went on to notch his third top-10 of the season two weeks later, and ended up earning more than $1.4 million. -- Helen Ross
