As much fun as he had last year, Kevin Streelman probably can't wait to get to Hawaii to start the 2009 campaign. But it's one course on the mainland -- Torrey Pines -- that undoubtedly got the first nod when Streelman began to plan his schedule. The rookie from Duke captured the attention of golf fans everywhere when he found himself in Saturday's final group there at the Buick Invitational with Tiger Woods. Five months later, on the same course, Streelman held the first-round lead at the U.S. Open. There were plenty of other highlights, too. Steelman got married and he made it through the first three events of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. His highest finish came at The Barclays where he was one stroke out of the playoff between Sergio Garcia, Kevin Sutherland and Vijay Singh. Making that performance most special was the fact that his grandparents were buried in a cemetery near the seventh hole at Ridgewood. -- Helen Ross
