Look for Jerry Kelly to start fast in 2009. After all, he won the 2002 Sony Open in Hawaii, and he has three other top-five finishes at Waialae Country Club, including last year's solo third when he opened with consecutive 67s. Kelly also tied for second twice. The first came at the inaugural Puerto Rico Classic presented by Banco Popular when he finished one stroke shy of Greg Kraft. Kelly also was two strokes off the pace set by Kenny Perry at the Memorial Tournament. In Kelly's case, statistics do lie. Always the battler, he made more than $1.5 million and posted four top-10s despite standing 100th or lower in seven of the eight statistical categories that make up the TOUR's all-around ranking. -- Helen Ross

All that is left for Jerome is to win more events. He believes there are lots more to come; no one would be surprised if he's right.
