MORE TOP 100 PLAYERS: BACK to Player No. 40 | FORWARD to Player No. 38 | Top 100 archive

As Jeff Quinney looks forward to the 2009 season, he'll undoubtedly be looking for more consistency. The 2000 U.S. Amateur champ played well through the U.S. Open, collecting three top-10s, but only cashed two checks in his final 11 starts. Quinney came $629 short of a $2 million season -- hitting seven figures for the second time in as many years on TOUR. More than $1.3 million of that came in two events -- second at the Northern Trust Open and solo third at THE PLAYERS Championship. Quinney actually had a chance to pick up his first TOUR win at THE PLAYERS, making birdie on the 16th hole on Sunday to tie Paul Goydos and Sergio Garcia. He couldnt get up-and-down from the back bunker at the 18th hole and missed the playoff. -- Helen Ross
