After ending a frustrating 21-month victory drought in November, Retief Goosen has got to look at the 2009 season with anticipation. Two runner-up finishes on the PGA TOUR last year are further cause for optimism. Goosen's win in Malaysia last month was hard-fought as he overcame a four-stroke deficit with a final-round 66 to win the Iskandar Johor Open. Perhaps of equal satisfaction, given the strength of the fields, were that tie for second at the World Golf Championships-CA Championship and tie for fourth at the Bridgestone Invitational. Goosen kept alive his string of seven-figure seasons, earning $1.4 million to finish 72nd on the money list. He also made the cut in all four majors with a tie for 14th at the U.S. Open and a tie for 17th at the Masters his highest finishes. -- Helen Ross
