Top-10 finishes in two majors give Brandt Snedeker cause for optimism as he contemplates the 2009 season. Not to mention, the 2007 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year took a big step in his personal life in October, marrying his girlfriend of seven years, Mandy Toth. Snedeker would like nothing better than to recapture the magic he had at the start of 2008, too. The Vanderbilt grad posted four top-10s in his first 11 starts, including a tie for third at the Masters, where he played with the eventual champ, Trevor Immelman, in Sunday's final pairing. Snedeker was understandably disappointed by the closing 77 but he got back into the mix at the next major, tying for ninth at the U.S. Open. The affable Tennessean with the Huck Finn grin earned $1.5 million in just his second year on TOUR. -- Helen Ross

The episode of Andy Griffith where Huckleberry meets Opie at Augusta was entertaining. That show is gone, but Brandt will write a new script.
