May. 5, 2008
TOURNAMENT RECAP: Justin Leonard was never more than five shots off the lead all week. When Lee Janzen faltered with a final-round 79 and Glen Day made a string of bogeys, Leonard took his chance and closed with a 67 to win with a 278 total. His five-stroke comeback victory was the second-best comeback after Raymond Floyd made up six shots in 1981. Brad Fabel found the green on No. 17 only to see a seagull pick up his ball in its beak, fly off and drop it in the lake.
