2008 TOUR year in review: Stan Badz photo archive

PGATOUR.COM asked Stan Badz, Chris Condon and Caryn Levy, the TOUR's three staff photographers, to select their favorite 10 images they snapped in 2008 and explain why they picked each one. Learn more about Badz and the images that he chose.

STAN BADZ'S BIOGRAPHY

Stan Badz is a Photo Official/Senior Staff Photographer who has been with the PGA TOUR for over 15 years. He travels to over 20 events per year covering all three Tours. His work has been published in all of the major golf publications.

He has over 30 years of professional photography experience and is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a degree in Photojournalism.His first job after graduation was a three-year stint as a staff photographer/photo editor at the Jackson Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss., where he won a variety of photojournalism awards.

He spent the next nine years as a staff photographer/photo editor at the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Fla. His daily assignments gave him the opportunity to shoot news, sports, features, fashion and food illustrations. His most rewarding and memorable photo assignment was covering the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Stan grew up in south Florida and has always lived close to the coast. He enjoys surfing and fishing with his family and getting away from it all in the Florida Keys. His favorite foursome would be playing with his son Arron, his father in-law, Jim, and Stuart Appleby on any course in Maui.
