Davis Love III started this event at a cumulative 39-over par for the 2008 season (consider that FedExCup champion Vijay Singh finished the year at 53-under). Love proceeded to card 24 birdies and an eagle against just a single bogey in four rounds en route to his 20th career victory. This amounts to a remarkable 25-to-1 birdie-to-bogey ratio, the best on TOUR in 2008 and more than 10 times the event average of 2.4.
