Editor's note: PGATOUR.COM has tried to make our experts work a little harder when they make their picks each week. The favorite can be anyone in the field, although Tiger Woods could only be used seven times during the year. Sleepers can't have won in 2008 or had a top 10 in their last five starts. A sleeper can't be ranked in the top 30 in the field, either.

Pick: Jeff Quinney
This is a pretty off-the-wall pick. Quinney hasn't exactly been playing great golf lately -- eight missed cuts and a disqualification in his last 10 starts. The only cut he made in that stretch resulted in a tie for 63rd at the RBC Canadian Open. Furthermore, his 3-under 69 in the first round at Las Vegas last week was just his second round in the 60s in his last 13 competitive rounds. Here's what he's got going for him though -- Quinney is quite familiar with Grayhawk Golf Club. It's just down the road from where he went to school, Arizona State, and he now makes his home in the area. Plus, this has been the year of the first-time TOUR winner.

Pick: Jeff Quinney
He's missed eight cuts in his last 10 starts but I think this is where Quinney salvages the end of his season and makes a run for his first PGA TOUR title. Quinney lives in the area and almost won the FBR Open in Scottsdale two years ago before losing to his neighbor Aaron Baddeley. Quinney is ready for a little Scottsdale redemption.

So many choices, so many reasons. Biggest one, top 125. It's time to relax and play, which is tough here. Beemer is a guy who always seems to come up big at the end. But hey, there's probably a Marc Turnesa-of-the-week I overlooked.

Day has been a puzzle all year. The young hotshot started the year injured and just never got on track. He has a few more weeks to shine and to salvage his rookie season on the PGA TOUR. He was the preseason favorite for Rookie of the Year, but that race now focuses on a handful of guys including last week's winner, Marc Turnesa. Arguably, none of those rookies are as talented as the young Aussie. And Jason needs it now more than ever.

Pick: Ryan Moore
Had Moore not carded a nine on the par-4 18th Sunday at the Justin Timberlake Shriner's Hospitals for Children Open, he would have tied for third. This 25-year-old young gun tied for sixth a year ago at Grayhawk and I think will breakthrough very soon for his first victory.

Pick: Nick Watney
He's shown signs of a late-season push with three checks in a row -- now it's a matter of putting together four good rounds in the same week (he was in contention last week before the 73 on Saturday). Expectations were high on Watney at the beginning of 2008, and he's capable of reminding everyone what the buzz was about. I'm also scribbling Watney's name down, discretely, on my 2009 sleeper list for fantasy purposes.

This is Chopra's time of year. He will defend his Gin sur Mer Classic at Tesoro title next week, and he was one stroke out of a top-10 last week in shooting 18 under in Vegas. This week could be a big confidence builder.

His play has been spotty since he tied for 10th at the Memorial Tournament, but he seems to be coming around with top-25 finishes in his last two starts. A tie for sixth last year at Grayhawk Golf Club is something he can build on.
