Fred Couples, Chad Campbell
Tee time:
2:56 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 19
Why you should watch: The 2009 Presidents Cup captain tees it up with one of his potential team members. Couples and Campbell will both start the third round in Las Vegas at 12 under, which is six shots off the lead. That seems like a lot, but things can be deceiving in Las Vegas -- a mirage in the desert, if you will. As we've seen throughout the years, there are plenty of birdies to be had at TPC Summerlin. Both of these guys can take it low and with their personalities, it's very likely they'll be the most laid back twosome on the course.

Zach Johnson, John Mallinger
Tee time:
3:41 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 4
Why you should watch: Zach Johnson, simply put, is on fire. After a win last week at the Valero Texas Open, the 2007 Masters champ has carried that momentum into Las Vegas. He starts the third round just one shot off the lead and all eyes will be on the regular guy from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. John Mallinger, on the other hand, is looking for that elusive TOUR win. Starting out two shots off the lead on a course that yields birdies like nobody's business, Mallinger might not ever had a better chance to come from behind to win than he does this weekend.

Johnson 22 17 1 0 0 2 6 71.20

Matt Kuchar, Marc Turnesa
Tee time:
3:50 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 1
Why you should watch: Call these two the "Birdie Bandits." What an incredible first 36 holes for Matt Kuchar and Marc Turnesa -- 18 under each! They have to slow down the torrid pace, right? Maybe not. Kuchar and many others this week have said that TPC Summerlin is the kind of course where you can't take your foot off the accelerator. If you like a birdie-fest, be sure to watch. Kuchar has one win to his credit on TOUR, while Turnesa is looking for victory No. 1.

2008 Stat Comparison

Kuchar 25 14 -- -- 1 4 7 71.19
Turnesa 26 11 0 1 0 1 3 71.42
