Chris Stroud, Paul Goydos
Tee time: 2:45 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 2
Why you should watch: Stroud, a product of Lamar University in Beaumont, has never slept on the 36-hole lead, but his big hitting and hot putting have him two shots ahead of the field. He'll be playing with Paul Goydos, who will need another 66 to stay near the lead. We're not sure Goydos has the firepower to fire the 64 or 63 he needs to separate himself from the field, but he doesn't make many mistakes, and a 14-par, four-birdie day will give him a shot heading into Sunday.

Tim Petrovic, Tim Herron
Tee time: 2:35 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 4
Why you should watch: Petrovic's only PGA TOUR victory came in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2005, and he has battled through an inconsistent season. When he gets going, he can really move it off the tee, and he's hit almost every one of 'em straight this week in San Antonio. He's playing with Tim Herron on Saturday, and this group has the experience to stay near the lead.

Kevin Streelman, Rory Sabbatini
Tee time: 2:15 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 4
Why you should watch: We haven't heard much from Sabbatini in 2008, and that is because his putting hasn't been good enough to help him compete for the win week after week. He's already burned through 60 putts in two rounds this week, and he must putt better to challenge at La Cantera Golf Club. Very few people hit the ball better than Rory, but he needs the hole to get in the way of his putts.
