MADRID, Spain (AP) -- Five-time major winner Seve Ballesteros is stable but still undergoing tests in a Madrid hospital to determine why he had a dizzy spell earlier this week.
La Paz University Hospital said it was not known when Ballesteros might be released, adding that it would issue a statement in the event of any changes in his condition.
Ballesteros was taken to La Paz on Monday after briefly losing consciousness.
The 51-year-old Ballesteros, who has a long history of back pain, officially retired from competition in 2007. He won the British Open three times and the Masters twice, and earned 50 victories on the European Tour.
