The rookie has quickly adapted to Annandale Golf Club, where he's made 15 birdies through 36 holes. Equally motivated is Stankowski, who has only been able to get into 12 PGA TOUR events this season.

Why you should watch: MacKenzie's bogey-free 64 on Friday was the low round of the tournament, and the North Carolina native could have easily gone 2-3 strokes lower. MacKenzie is another guy trying to lock up his playing status for 2009 -- he has missed a chunk of the season with knee injuries. If his putter stays hot, watch out.

John Daly, Garrett Willis

Why you should watch: This tournament is practically a home game for Daly, who lives a couple of hours up the road in Memphis. He played without a PGA TOUR card for the past two seasons, and with only $41,977 in the bank this year, he will need a win to secure his status for 2008. The good news? Daly played his best golf of the year on Friday, shooting a 67 after finally finding some fairways with his driver. For the week, he's tied for 64th in Driving Accuracy and 13th in Distance. Not a bad combo.
