The cut came at 2-under-par 142, with 78 players advancing to the weekend.

Marc Turnesa holds the lead at 11-under, so the players who made it on the number have their work cut out for them on Saturday and Sunday to catch the leaders.

Positive movers

Kevin Na. Na, along with Will MacKenzie, had the lowest round of the day. MacKenzie's round moved him into a tie for second but Na's was just as valuable -- it vaulted him from a tie for 124th safely into made cut territory.

Chad Collins. Collins improved by 10 strokes on Friday compared to Thursday's opening round. He shot 75 on Day 1 but followed that up with a 65 to sit in a tie for 44th.

Billy Andrade. He didn't get off to a great start, making double bogey on the second hole, but Andrade followed that up with nine birdies and two bogeys to hop 57 spots up the leaderboard.

Negative movers

Michael Bradley. After Thursday's 68, Bradley was sitting pretty at the Viking Classic. But Friday's subsequent 76 saw Bradley plummet from a tie for ninth into missing the cut.

Kevin Stadler. If not for a triple bogey on No. 2 and a double bogey on No. 7, Stadler might have made the cut. Instead, he fired a 74 and was sent packing.

Joe Durant. Durant had eight bogeys and just two birdies to sign for a 78 in the second round. That was seven strokes worse than Day 1, meaning he dropped from a tie for 50th to a spot outside the cutline.

On the number

Ken Duke. Duke came into this tournament playing extremely well, having missed just one cut in 13 starts and earning six top-10s during that time. He needs to make a big move on Moving Day, however, to notch another one.

Bart Bryant. He had a successful run in 2008 and made it into the first three events in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. Bryant barely landed his weekend spot at the Viking Classic, though, by shooting 72 and 70.

Chris Stroud. Stroud and Cody Freeman both shot 4-under 68s to advance up the rankings. Stroud was tied for 107th after Round 1 but made it to the weekend on the line.

Notable missed cuts

Fred Funk. He's a two-time winner at the Viking Classic but Funk won't be hoisting the trophy this year. He's headed home early after rounds of 71 and 72.

J.J. Henry. It wasn't necessarily a bad day for Henry, who had mostly pars on his second-round scorecard along with two birdies and a bogey. Still, he needed to take advantage of scoring conditions at Annandale Golf Club shoot lower than Thursday's 74 and Friday's 71 in order to earn a paycheck.

Jesper Parnevik. The Swede had a trunk-slamming week when he failed to make the cut after following up a 74 with a 71.
