Mike Weir, Camilo Villegas
Tee time:
1:40 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 8
Why you should watch: The final group on Sunday, Weir and Villegas should both put on quite a show. Obviously, Weir is the favorite this week after his stunning first-round 61 -- and, even more than that, his ability to follow the 61 up with rounds of 68 and 67 to stay in contention despite the immense pressure to perform after going so low. Weir hasn't won on TOUR this year, but he's had four top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Memorial Tournament. He tied for seventh last week at The Barclays, so his season is heating up just on time to do some damage in these Playoffs. Villegas proved to be a Playoffs force to reckon with last year with a tie for 21st at The Barclays, a tie for ninth at the Deutsche Bank Championship, a tie for seventh at the BMW Championship and a tie for ninth at THE TOUR Championship, so there's really no surprise to see him back in the upper echelons of the leaderboard in 2008. He missed the cut last week at The Barclays, but maybe he can make up for that with a win here in Boston.

Sergio Garcia, Vijay Singh
Tee time:
1:30 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 40
Why you should watch: Did you watch The Barclays last week? Or perhaps the first two rounds of this week's tournament? If so, then you hardly need to be told why this group should be watched like an endangered species. There's just something about Garcia and Singh when they're paired up together -- they push each other and feed off of each other. They have chemistry. And with 40 wins between the two of them, they're good -- really, really good. Both of these guys have been on top of their game lately: Singh won the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational at the beginning of August and then again last week; Garcia tied for second in the final major of the year three weeks ago and then chased Singh down the stretch at The Barclays before settling for a playoff loss and a tie for second. So here they are -- back at it, three shots off the lead and well capable of not only making up that stroke difference but blasting past it.

Heath Slocum, Tim Clark
Tee time:
1:00 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 2
Why you should watch: If ever there were a pair of underdogs in a final round, these two are it. Clark still winless on TOUR and Slocum in a drought since 2005, they have come so close to victory in the last two seasons and want it badly. Slocum quietly put himself in contention this week with three rounds in the 60s -- 64, 68 and 69 -- to sit at 12 under, five shots off the lead. He's had four top-10 finishes this year, but he missed the cut at The Barclays last week and at the PGA Championship before that, so now is the time for Slocum to pick up his game. His chances of catching up with the lead are slim, but, with a pre-round projected FedExCup rank of 45th, another top-10 finish is more than enough to keep him going for one more week in the Playoffs. Clark wasn't so quiet this week. The South African stole the show in the second round when, at 11 under with two holes to go -- including a par 5 -- he really had everyone thinking he might shoot a 59. Two bogeys on the final two holes dashed his chances, but his 9-under 62 rocketed him into the lead and, momentarily, took the spotlight away from Weir. Clark, however, wasn't able to follow up his low round as well as Weir did, and he slipped down the leaderboard in the third round to sit five strokes behind the Canadian leader. Clark will want to redeem himself after shooting 2 over on Sunday, and he's another one of those guys who performed very well in the Playoffs last year (despite a missed cut at TPC Boston), so don't count him out just yet.
