Stewart Cink, Hunter Mahan
Tee Time:
1:50 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 5
Why you should watch: This should be a comfortable pairing for this twosome. Both players are former champions at the Travelers Championship -- Cink in 1997 and Mahan in 2007. Both played together on the winning U.S. Presidents Cup team last fall. Finally, both are hungry for another PGA TOUR win. Cink has six top-10 finishes in 2008, but hasn't won on TOUR since 2004. Mahan, on the other hand, is looking to join Phil Mickelson as just the second player in tournament history to successfully defend his title.

2008 Stat Comparison
Player Events Played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Cink 14 13 -- 2 2 6 10 70.71
Mahan 17 10 -- -- -- 2 6 71.61
adamonis_split.jpg

Brad Adamonis, Kevin Sutherland
Tee Time:
1:32 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 1
Why you should watch: The script seems almost too perfect for Brad Adamonis. At age 35, he's the oldest rookie on the PGA TOUR in 2008. He's from nearby Rhode Island and is playing great at the only regular-season TOUR event in New England. His father has had several health scares in the last several years, but has fought off everything bad that has come his way. This week, father is watching son at the Travelers Championship. Brad has yet to post a top 10 on TOUR, but could he win so close to home? He'll need to make a move on Saturday first. As for Sutherland, he's knocked on the door a few times this season and is hungry to win his first stroke-play event on the PGA TOUR.

2008 Stat Comparison
Player Events Played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Adamonis 14 7 -- -- -- -- -- 71.81
Sutherland 14 11 -- -- -- 3 7 70.81
singh_split.jpg

Vijay Singh, Corey Pavin
Tee Time:
12:47 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 46
Why you should watch: Both these players are proven major champions with at least 15 TOUR titles on their resume. They'll have some work to do as they start the third round at 6 under, trailing Stewart Cink by four shots. However, their experience should prove invaluable. Both players know where to pick their spots. In particular, look for Singh to attack the course. There are plenty of risk-reward holes at TPC River Highlands.

2008 Stat Comparison
Player Events Played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Singh 14 12 -- 2 1 4 9 70.71
Pavin 11 7 -- -- 1 1 4 70.95
