J.B. Holmes, Larry Mize, J.J. Henry
Tee time: 7:32 a.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 7
Why you should watch:
Connecticut native J.J. Henry treats this event like his own personal major, and the timing couldn't be better. Henry has struggled badly in 2008, making eight of 16 cuts and failing to record a top-25. In 2006, Henry became the first Connecticut-born player to win in Hartford during the tournament's long history. In 2007, he fired a final-round 64 to finish tied for 13th.

2008 Stat Comparison

Holmes 15 12 1 -- -- 3 7 71.61
Mize 8 3 -- -- -- 1 2 73.39

Kenny Perry, Fred Funk, Carl Pettersson
Tee time: 12:42 p.m.
Tee: No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 20
Why you should watch
: It will be interesting to see if Perry's week off will affect his play. In the last six weeks, Perry has earned nearly $2 million, and TPC River Highlands is set up well for a long hitter like Perry, who shot 65 in the opening round here last year. Pettersson is coming off two consecutive top-10s, including a tie for sixth the U.S. Open, where he shot par or better in three rounds.

Perry 16 15 1 1 1 3 8 70.56

Brian Gay, Hunter Mahan, Heath Slocum
Tee time: 12:52 p.m.
Tee: No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 4
Why you should watch:
Mahan seemingly has been quiet in 2008, but the defending Travelers Championship winner is playing extremely well coming into Hartford. Mahan finished tied for 18th in last week's U.S. Open after a 69 in the third round. Slocum, who shot a tournament-best 65 in the final round of the U.S. Open, hasn't missed a cut since February. Another made cut will likely push Slocum over the $1 million mark in 2008 earnings.

2008 Stat Comparison
Player Events Played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Gay 15 11 1 -- -- 3 6 70.62
Mahan 17 10 -- -- -- 2 6 71.61
Slocum 16 14 -- -- -- 4 5 71.39
