Adam Scott's victory at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship did not come easy as he battled Ryan Moore in a three-hole playoff. Scott sealed the win with a dramatic 46-foot birdie putt. It was the longest putt to win a playoff in the ShotLink era, shattering the previous record of 31 feet, 5 inches by Mark Wilson at the 2007 Honda Classic.
Scott is now 5-2 (.714) when leading after 54 holes and 2-0 in playoffs (he defeated Chad Campbell in a playoff at the 2005 Nissan Open).
The only other Australian to win the EDS Byron Nelson Championship was Bruce Devlin in 1969.
