Jose Coceres, Shane Bertsch, Johnson Wagner
Tee time:
8:30 a.m.
Tee:
No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 2
Why you should watch: How unexpected was Johnson Wagner's sparkling 63 on Thursday? His best finish of the season thus far is a tie for 38th at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and he has made three cuts in nine previous starts in 2008. Still, he was spectacular in the opening round in Houston, making eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 eighth. Bertsch starts the day at even par and Coceres is at 6 over.

Andres Romero, Geoff Ogilvy, Adam Scott
Tee time:
1:40 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 10
Why you should watch: Scott held the course record by himself for a few hours on Thursday before he was matched by Johnson Wagner. Ogilvy was also impressive Thursday, firing a 67 despite a bogey on the par-5 eighth. Meanwhile, Romero has a lot of work ahead of him just to make the cut after a 75 on Thursday.

Jim McGovern, Brett Quigley, Mathias Gronberg
Tee time:
1:30 p.m.
Tee: No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 1
Why you should watch: Quigley, who's still coming back from knee surgery last fall, threw out an opening 4-under-par 68 in the gusty conditions at Redstone and got himself into the mix at the Shell Houston Open. It was his second-best start of the year. An opening 67 at the windy Honda Classic led to his only check this year -- a 24th-place finish. He's missed the cut in five other events. He needs to win to get an invitation to the Masters, where last year he celebrated the birth of his daughter -- Lillian Sage Augusta.

McGovern 7 3 -- -- -- -- -- 71.95
