Chia, Bing among Asian Tour qualifiers for British Open

SINGAPORE (AP) -- Danny Chia of Malaysia shot his second straight 3-under 69 to win a British Open qualifying tournament Wednesday.

Chia, who played at the 2005 Open at St. Andrews, finished with a 6-under 138 two-day total.

Chia booked his second British Open appearance, qualifying along with Adam Blyth of Australia, Lam Chih Bing of Singapore and Angelo Que of the Philippines. The quartet will play in the British Open in July at Royal Birkdale, England.

Blyth had six birdies in a flawless round to finish with the lowest score of 66, while Lam and Que prevailed in a playoff against Tomohiro Kondo of Japan after the trio were tied at 140.
