More: He underwent a second surgery at the end of the 2003 Nationwide Tour season to remove the remaining 20 percent of a brain tumor diagnosed in 2002. His first surgery was performed in January 2003, just 24 days after his wedding.

Demsey was a member of the Nationwide Tour in 1995, 1999-2005 and 2007. After a successful season on the Nationwide Tour in 2007 where he made 20 cuts in 29 starts, Demsey returned to the PGA TOUR for a second time, 11 years after his TOUR debut in 1997. In addition to his extensive Nationwide Tour experience, Demsey has also played on two national teams -- the 1993 Walker Cup and the 1994 Wolrd Amateur Team Championship.
