Boo Weekley's victory last week was the 226th PGA TOUR win by a former Nationwide Tour player and the ninth this season.
The Nationwide Tour heads to Virginia this week for the Henrico County Open. Ten years ago at this event, Notah Begay III became the first player in Nationwide Tour history to shoot a 59. It's been done twice since then by Doug Dunakey and Jason Gore.
Daniel Chopra, now a two-time PGA TOUR champion, set the all-time Nationwide Tour scoring record at the Henrico County Open when he won the 2004 tournament with a 30-under par effort.
Winning the Henrico County Open has proved to be a particularly good omen. Four of the previous 15 winners of the event have gone on to be the Nationwide Tour's Player of the Year in that season -- Bob Burns (1998), Chad Campbell (2001), Patrick Moore (2002) and Nick Flanagan (2007).
