He's Mr. Even-Numbered Years. Gavin Coles won his fourth Nationwide Tour career title last week at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by Dynamic Industries. His four titles have come in 2002-2004-2006 and 2008.

With Gavin Coles winning last week, Australians have won three of the first five Nationwide Tour events this year. Coles joins Jarrod Lyle and Ewan Porter, who won earlier this year in Mexico and Australia respectively.
Brendon de Jonge finished in a tie for third last week for his best finish in 84 career starts on the Nationwide Tour. It was his second Top 10 of the season, and it boosted him to 14th on the money list.
Five-time Nationwide Tour winner Chris Couch is a fully-exempt PGA TOUR member but has not played on the TOUR yet this season due to continuing recovering from a shoulder injury. He returned to the Nationwide Tour last week for his first rehab start and made the cut in Louisiana, finishing in a tie for 55th.
The Course at Wente Vineyards, site of this week's Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship, has been the most-difficult course on the Nationwide Tour the past two years. The Greg Norman-designed course, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has been ranked No. 1 on Tour during its first two years. The par-72 layout played to a scoring average of 75.235 in 2007 and 74.881 in 2006.
Starting and finishing won't be easy this week at The Course at Wente Vineyards. The opening hole, a 485-yard par 4, was the most difficult on Tour in 2007. The downhill hole played to a stroke average of 4.507. The 469-yard, par-4 18th hole was rated as the third-toughest hole in 2007. The hole, which is guarded by water to the right of the green, played to a stroke average of 4.490. The 453-yard 17th hole was tied for 21st last year with a scoring average of 4.355, making the 17th and 18th holes the toughest closing holes on Tour.
Omar Uresti won the second annual Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship last year with an even-par score of 288. Uresti's winning score was the second-highest in the history of the Nationwide Tour. Roger Salazar won the 1991 South Texas Open in Portland, Texas, with a 3-over par 216 total, the only above-par score to win in the Tour's 19-year history.
