Editor's note: With seven weeks remaining in the PGA TOUR Regular Season and Tiger Woods on the sidelines recuperating from reconstructive knee surgery, players are really beginning to jockey for position in the FedExCup standings. Big moves can be made, too -- just look at what happened during July and August of last year. Tim Clark moved from 118th to 36th while Jonathan Byrd went from No. 97 to No. 26 and both made the field for the final event in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. PGATOUR.com looks at some players to watch this year.

Complete FedExCup point standings

perry.72.jpg

Player: Kenny Perry
Current Rank: Third
Points: 15,933
Points earned in June: 9,990
The man has been playing out of his mind lately -- and we all know what can happen when Perry gets on a hot streak. He's had two wins and a playoff loss in his last six starts and currently trails Phil Mickelson by a mere seven points. Next up for him is the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee and you've got to like his chances there, too. He won in 2003 and he's got seven top-10s in his last eight starts. His Ryder Cup goal is all but realized, but don't look for Perry to relax. He's focused on that $10 million bonus.

cink.72.jpg

Player: Stewart Cink
Current Rank: Fourth
Points: 15,039
Points earned in June: 5,183
Unlike Perry who has come on strong of late, Cink has been extremely consistent the entire year. He's got seven top-10s in 15 starts, including a win in his last start at the Travelers Championship, a pair of seconds and two thirds. Cink is primed for the last two majors, and he'll be playing at Firestone in the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational where he's got a victory and a runner-up finish in the last four years.

woodyaustin.72.jpg

Player: Woody Austin
Current Rank: 27th
Points: 5,931
Points earned in June: 2,363
Austin proved he was a clutch player at the Presidents Cup last year, and this is the time for a repeat performance. Over his last eight events of 2007, Austin picked up one win and two seconds. He got another runner-up finish at the Buick Open on Sunday and climbed 36 spots to 27th. Now that he can sniff that first Ryder Cup berth, clocking in at No. 9 right now, Austin has lots to play for as the season winds down.

rollins.72.jpg

Player: John Rollins
Current Rank: 90th
Points: 2,869
Points earned in June: 903
He won't be challenging for the top like Perry and Cink, but look for the Virginian turned Texas transplant to make a move toward the top 30 in the coming weeks. He started the season slowly while trying to synch his swing to a 40-pound weight loss. Rollins seems to have found his game of late, though, shooting 15 under at the Buick Open last week and moving up 12 spots in the FedExCup standings. He survived 36-hole qualifying for the British Open on Monday, too.

gore.72.jpg

Player: Jason Gore
Current Rank: 129th
Points: 1,555
Points earned in June: 274
He battled some health issues earlier in the year, but the affable Californian seems to be hitting his stride. Six of his last eight rounds have been in the 60s and the other two were both 71s. He'll likely play a lot over the next few months and needs to move to improve his seeding as the Playoffs kick off.
