This week's Honda Classic starts a critical stretch from now until the Masters. Last year, several players made big moves:

Of course, the winners did well (Mark Wilson and Mark Calcavechhia are in the 2008 Honda Classic field):
Mark Wilson (The Honda Classic winner) moved from No. 107 to 11th
Mark Calcavecchia (PODS Championship winner) moved from No. 28 to eighth
Adam Scott (Shell Houston Open winner) moved from 19th to sixth
Tiger Woods (World Golf Championships-CA Championship winner) moved from sixth to third
Vijay Singh (Palmer Invitational winner) moved from third to first

Note: Last year, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans followed the Masters.

Others who did well in this stretch (all in the field):
Arron Oberholser moved from 177th to 69th with a T10 at The Honda Classic, T34 at the PODS Championship, T45 at the CA Championship and T9 at the Shell Houston Open
Camilo Villegas moved from 102nd to 37th with a T2 at The Honda Classic and made cuts at the PODS Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational
Brett Wetterich moved from 90th to 20th with a T8 at The Honda Classic and 2nd at the CA Championship.
Anthony Kim moved from 84th to 45th with a T46 at The Honda Classic, T14 at the PODS Championship and T5 at the Shell Houston Open
Boo Weekley moved from 82nd to 30th with a T2 at The Honda Classic and a T14 at Arnold Palmer Invitational
Lucas Glover moved from 65th to 40th with a T4 at the PODS Championship plus points at The Honda Classic and the CA Championship
Heath Slocum moved from 23rd to 15th. Although he missed the cut at The Honda Classic, he bounced back with at T2 at the PODS Championship
Robert Allenby moved from 14th to ninth with a T5 at The Honda Classic, T32 at Arnold Palmer Invitational and T3 at the CA Championship

• To this point last year, Leonard had earned no FedExCup points in four starts, missing all four cuts. He also missed the cut at the 2007 Honda Classic. This year, he has three top-five finishes and four top-10s.
• Last year, Leonard was the 85th seed in the Playoffs. His 5,871 FedExCup points this year is probably good enough for a top-50 seed, even if he earns no more points the rest of the year.

Boo Weekley 2,501 pts 18th 6,724 behind Woods
• Last year's T2 at The Honda Classic earned Boo 1,867 poits, 2,633 behind Mark Wilson's first place total of 4,500. The 3-foot putt he missed on the 72nd hole of regulation play cost him 73 points per inch.
• With five top-25 finishes so far this year, Weekley is averaging 417 points per start -- almost exactly equal to his average for the Regular Season last year. To this point in the season last year, he was averaging only 127 points per start, with three missed cuts and just two top-25 finishes.
• Donald is 1,588 FedExCup points behind where he was at this point last year, but has played in three fewer events. (He was ineligible for the Mercedes-Benz Championship and did not play in the Sony Open in Hawaii or AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this year.
