Take a look at some of the FedExCup effects from last year's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
Charley Hoffman's 4,500 point win last year at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic comprised 76 percent of his regular season total of 5,941, good enough for a 46 seed.

John Rollins obtained 28 percent of his total 2007 PGA TOUR Regular Season points at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last year with his second-place finish. His total of 9,708 made him the 16th seed in the Playoffs.
Without those second-place points last year, Rollins would have dropped from 16th seed to 26th.
Several other players helped their seeding significantly at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic:
→ Scott Verplank was the 11th seed. Without his tie for eighth in the desert, he would have dropped to 26th.
→ Heath Slocum was the 29th seed. Without his tie for fourth at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, he would have dropped to 44th.
→ Jeff Quinney was the 41st seed. Without his share of fourth, he would have dropped to 55th.
By the end of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last year, Robert Allenby had 1,425 points, 19 percent of his season-long total. He has none so far this year.
Boo Weekley played the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last year but missed the cut. With a top-three finish in the event, he would have been a top-10 seed in the Playoffs. (He was 17th.)
Woody Austin played the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last year and finished tied for 53rd. If he had managed a top-three finish instead, he would have moved up to the eighth seed from 14th.
The regular season-ending point total for 70th place in 2007 was 4,580, meaning a win at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic would virtually lock up a spot in the Top 70.
