TAYLORMADE PERFORMANCE LAB
Golf clubs, like a quality suit, require the right fit. If you really want to splurge, go to the one of the five TaylorMade Performance Labs in Chicago, San Diego, Atlanta, Orlando, and Palm Desert, Calif. TMPL uses Motion Analysis Technology (MAT-T) to help measure you for the right clubs. The computers will collect all sorts of data on your swing and then convert it into 3-D animation.
Following the swing analysis and club recommendations, demo clubs are built on-site and the customer then can take a test drive at the range. So you get immediate feedback. All told, it is a 2 1/2 custom fitting experience. The fee ranges from $150-400, depending on the location, the season and the extensiveness of the fitting.
For more information on exact locations, visit www.tmplabs.com or call 619-297-8700.
