Players who improved their FedExCup points position after Round 3:

Player: Jason Gore
Scores/Position: 70-71-64 (-8)/T8
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 83
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 72
Summary: At No. 83 in the FedExCup standings, Gore entered the Deutsche Bank Championship as one of the long shots to advance to the 70-player BMW Championship in Chicago next week. Now, it might take just one more solid round to solidify his spot. With a dazzling 7-under-par 64 in the third round on Sunday, Gore's projected FedExCup finish is now No. 72.

Player: Bart Bryant
Scores/Position: 72-67-66 (-8)/T8
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 80
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 64
Summary: Typically Saturday is known as moving day, but since Saturday is actually Sunday this week with a Monday finish -- have you got all that? -- Bryant made his move in the third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship with a 5-under-par 66. With that, Bryant's projected standing has jumped 16 spots. If the points closed right now, he'd safely be inside the top 70.

Player: Angel Cabrera
Scores/Position: 70-69-65 (-9)/T6
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 44
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 32
Summary: The surprise U.S. Open champion was already a lock for the BMW Championship, but after shooting a 6-under-par 65 on Sunday, Cabrera got himself a step closer to THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola. There's still work to do, but every little bit helps.

Player: Lucas Glover
Scores/Position: 69-70-66 (-8)/T8
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 47
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 36
Summary: Just like Cabrera, Glover came to the Deutsche Bank Championship with the comfort of knowing he was safely in the field for the BMW Championship next week in Chicago. However, a spot in THE TOUR Championship was going to be an uphill battle. With a 66 on Sunday, Glover moved up nine spots in the projected standings and suddenly a spot in Atlanta isn't so far out of the realm of possibility.

Player: Brett Wetterich
Scores/Position: 66-68-66 (-13)/1
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 51
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 6
Summary: Wetterich, the 54-hole leader at the Deutsche Bank Championship, got some serious work done on Sunday. With his second 5-under-par 66 of the week, Wetterich jumped an amazing 45 positions in the projected FedExCup standings all the way to No. 6. Wetterich is looking for the second win of his career there's even more incentive to get it done this week than usual.

Players who fell in the FedExCup points after Round 3:

Player: Steve Flesch
Scores/Position: 71-72-71 (+1)/T65
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 70
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 74
Summary: Flesch was the bubble-man heading into the Deutsche Bank Championship and he knew early on that that wouldn't be a comfortable position to be in. While he did make the cut at TPC Boston, Flesch hasn't exactly been lights out. If he hopes to make the field for the BMW Championship he's going to need to be lights out on Monday.

Player: Paul Goydos
Scores/Position: 75-67-71 (Even)/T61
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 53
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 57
Summary: Goydos should be safe for the BMW Championship. He would really need a lot of bad things to happen on Monday to not make it. However, he did slide four spots on Sunday and would certainly like to close the tournament out with a solid round.

Player: Stephen Ames
Scores/Position: 68-73-69 (-3)/T44
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 66
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 70
Summary: The poor guy shot 2-under-par 69 on Sunday, but still dropped four spots in the projected FedExCup standings. Now he's projected to be the bubble guy, which nobody wants to be. He's more than capable of a strong final-round finish, which is what he'll need to extend his Playoffs life.

Player: Trevor Immelman
Scores/Position: 67-74-68 (-4)/T36
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 38
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 44
Summary: Like Ames, Immelman turned in a good number on Sunday -- a 3-under-par 68. Also like Ames, despite a nice score, Immelman slid in the standings. Starting the week at No. 38, he's now projected to end the week at No. 44, still safely into the field at the BMW Championship -- a place where he's the defending champion.

Player: Rocco Mediate
Scores/Position: 71-72-66 (-4)/T36
FedExCup Standing Before Deutsche Bank Championship: 65
Projected FedExCup Standing After Round 3: 67
Summary: Stephen Ames and Trevor Immelman shouldn't go crying to Rocco. Mediate dropped two shots in the projected FedExCup standings even though he shot a 5-under-par 66. He's hovering just above the top-70 bubble at No. 67 right now and will need another solid round on Monday to advance.
