Deutsche Bank Championship Video: LIVE@ Preview | Event Preview | Players to watch

Strong Horse: Zach Johnson
8th in FedExCup points
Johnson skipped the Deutsche Bank Championship in 2006 after missing the cut in 2005. He was tied for 12th in his rookie year of 2004.
Johnson's penchant for driving it straight off the tee (73 percent, third on TOUR in 2007) is a big asset at TPC Boston, which was tightened after 2004. Johnson has missed only three cuts this year, but two of those have come in his last five starts.
Johnson seems to play well even when in the midst of a heavy schedule. He won The Masters despite playing in seven events before April.

Strong Horse: Tiger Woods
4th in FedExCup points
Woods has a win and a runner-up in the four times the TOUR has trekked to the TPC Boston. Its wide fairways and intimidating length (7,400 yards, par 71) make it tailor-made to Woods' power game. TPC Boston was the sixth-hardest course on the PGA TOUR in 2006.
Woods has played TPC Boston in an average of 10 under over the four events. His 63 in the final round in 2006 was one of the best 18-hole displays of his career.
Woods leads the TOUR in two key categories as the field focuses on the playoffs. Tiger has made 20 straight cuts and is the only player to average a 9th-place finish or better in the last eight events.

Dark Horse: Woody Austin
12th in FedExCup points
This old (43) bird is playing the best golf of his career. Austin has broken 70 in eight of his last 16 rounds, and his tie for 12th in The Barclays went unnoticed mainly because he shot a 72 on Sunday.
Austin hasn't played at the TPC Boston since 2004, and he has missed the cut both times he has entered.
Austin doesn't hit a ton of greens (64 percent, 91st on TOUR in 2007) but he is one of the best at avoiding bogeys. Austin gets up and down for par almost 40 percent of the time from more than 30 yards.

Dark Horse: Brian Davis
74th in FedExCup points
Like Austin, Davis back-slid on the weekend at The Barclays, shooting 74 on Sunday to wind up tied for 54th. Davis will have to make the cut this week at the Deutsche Bank Championship in order to make it to the third tournament in the playoffs.
Still, here is an interesting stat: Davis has made it to the weekend in his last 10 events, good for fifth-longest among TOUR players.
Davis has missed the cut in both of his attempts to TPC Boston (2005, 2006), but the Englishman has averaged 70 in the first round.
