PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Ginn sur Mer Classic is moving from the Tesoro Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., to the Ginn Hammock Beach Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, Fla., for 2008 and will be played Oct. 27-Nov. 2, 2008, with the goal that the tournament will find its new home at the Ginn sur Mer Resort in the Bahamas in the future.

As per the five-year agreement with the PGA TOUR and Ginn Resorts reached earlier this year, the tournament staged the inaugural PGA TOUR event at Tesoro this year and then was scheduled to rotate to other Ginn properties over the remainder of the contract with Hammock Beach's Conservatory Course being approved by the PGA TOUR for 2008.

Ginn Resorts Chairman Bobby Ginn has four professional golf events at his resort properties covering the LPGA, Champions and PGA Tours. In addition to the PGA TOUR event, Ginn's Hammock Beach Ocean Course is the home to the Champions Tour's Ginn Championship; the Ginn Resort in Reunion, Fla. is the home to the LPGA event, the Ginn Open; and the Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA is home to the LPGA tournament at RiverTowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C.

Bobby Ginn, Chairman and CEO of Ginn Resorts, said, "We were thrilled to host these great golfers at Tesoro, but in 2008 and beyond we look forward to showcasing two other great Ginn Resort properties at Ginn Hammock Beach Resort and our newest property, Ginn sur Mer Resort.

"The PGA TOUR players will get to experience two additional fine Ginn properties that will not only challenge them but are sure to provide beautiful scenic views as well."

"The Palm Coast community is privileged to have not one but two professional golf events in their area starting in 2008," Tournament Director John Subers said. "In our agreement with the PGA TOUR, the event was to rotate among other Ginn properties and we are excited that the PGA TOUR approved next year's event to be held at Tom Watson's Conservatory Course at Ginn Hammock Beach. We also look forward to eventually finding a home at the Ginn sur Mer Resort in the Bahamas."
