Which player will take the honors in this weekend's World Golf Championships-CA Championship? Our experts weigh in:

Pick: Tiger Woods
What can you say that hasn't already been said? The guy has won five of the seven World Golf Championships-CA Championships played (the 2001 tournament was never played due to the attacks of September 11). Furthermore, this is essentially a double-defense week for the world's No. 1 player. In addition to his CA Championship win at the Grove in London last fall, Woods is also the two-time defending champion for tournaments played at Doral. If that doesn't make him the hands-down favorite, I don't know what does. Furthermore, with an 8-over 43 on the back nine Sunday at Bay Hill last week (his last three holes went like this: bogey, double, triple), you can be sure Tiger's steaming and can't wait to take that frustration out on the Blue Monster.

His last time out of the top five at Doral was when he missed the cut in 2003, when he was coming off a case of food poisoning at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. He was solo 53rd in the CA Championship last year, when it was played in England the week after the Ryder Cup, after a dreadful putting performance in the Ryder Cup (0-3-1). TFIs counting on that tie for 20th at The Honda Classic, one of only two finishes outside the top 15 this season, being long gone from his system after a two-week break.

Pick: Ernie Els
Because I wanted to be different and not go with Tiger, despite his impressive record in World Golf Championships, this week I'm going with Ernie Els. Not only has he won at Doral, back in 2002 when the Genuity Championship was held at Doral Golf Resort & Spa's Blue Course, but he has also won the World Golf Championships-CA Championship. It was at a different venue and had a different name but perhaps that will bring good karma to Els in the new spot this year.

Pick: Tiger Woods
Do you have to ask? He's won this event multiple times -- multiple versions. Bay Hill was a blip he can correct. Yes. Tiger Woods.

Pick: Vijay Singh
When you're hot, you're hot. I loved the way Singh went and got it in the final round of the Arnold Palmer soiree last week. Momentum carries over this week to the World Golf Championships-CA Championship where Singh has four top-10s in six starts. Granted that doesn't match Tiger's seven-for-seven and five wins, but Singh gets victory No. 3 this week.

Pick: Tiger Woods
You know who I feel sorry for this week? Steve Williams, Tiger's famous looper. Tiger and Stevie won the last two Ford Championships at Doral. In addition to his share of the winnings Stevie was rewarded with a brand new car. As the title sponsor Ford offered a new ride to the winner each year. Tiger promptly passed on the new sled to his car enthusiast caddy. After all, Tiger drives a Buick. No such luck this year for Stevie, but the final result will be the same. They can change the name and the format. They can even change the date, but in the end Tiger will make it three in a row at Doral.

Pick: Tiger Woods
I normally don't like to go with the crowd, but in this case I'll make an exception. Not because Tiger Woods has won his last two starts at Doral in a combined 44-under par and finished second there in 2002, though. And not because he's won this World Golf Championships event five times on five different courses. Both are good reasons, to be sure. What actually swayed me, ironically, was that sub-par performance on Sunday at Bay Hill. Don't expect it to happen again.

Pick: Tiger Woods
We weren't sure that the much-rested Woods was ready for the arduous test at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the suspicion was validated by a final-round 76 that capped a disappointing tie for 22nd in a tournament he had won four times in a row from 2000-2003. The Doral Blue Course is the latest site where he has a dalliance with dominance, having won the last two tournaments held there by a combined 44-under par. Now Doral hosts a WGC event, and Woods loves those as much as he does a place where azaleas bloom.

He finished second here a year ago. The pleasant memories could spur him on to his second Nationwide Tour victory.
