PGATOUR.com: Tell us your favorite thing about high school.

About Tadd Fujikawa
With 16-year-old Tadd Fujikawa making his professional debut at the Reno-Taho Open, PGATOUR.com sat down with the Hawaiian golfer to learn a little more about his life on and off the course. Get to know the 5-foot-1 teen who made TOUR history in January 2007 when he became the youngest to make a cut in more than 50 years at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Fujikawa: Definitely not the school work. Getting to socialize with friends and hang out a little bit and not be so intense all the time. My favorite thing is just getting to relax.

PGATOUR.com: So your least favorite thing would be the actual work?

Fujikawa: (laughs) I think that's everybody's.

PGATOUR.com: What athlete (golf or non-golf) would you most like to spend a day with?

Fujikawa: Probably Tiger. I'd like to see what he's like and how he practices. He's the best golfer in the world so who better to look at than the best? We'd probably practice and play some golf or something.

PGATOUR.com: Describe your first golf memory.

Fujikawa: Going out on the range and hitting it as far as I can, that's the first thing I started doing. I didn't get started playing golf until I was 8 years old, which is a little later than some kids, but I do the best that I can.

PGATOUR.com: Name the top five songs you listen to on your iPod.

Fujikawa: I don't know, I have a lot of different kinds. I listen to anything except maybe heavy metal. Probably "Hey There Delilah" from Plain White T's. I swear, if I named like all of my favorite songs, it would be over 1000.

PGATOUR.com: Who are the five most frequently called people in your phone?

Fujikawa: Probably friends from junior golf and stuff.

PGATOUR.com: If you could star in any movie, what would it be and what character would you play?

Fujikawa: I don't watch many movies honestly. I'm pretty boring.

PGATOUR.com: Who is your celebrity crush?

Fujikawa: I have a lot. Probably Vanessa Hudgens (from High School Musical). She is really pretty.

PGATOUR.com: Most embarrassing moment on or off the course?

Fujikawa: I can't think of any.

PGATOUR.com: Who are you most excited about meeting/playing with on TOUR?

Fujikawa: Phil Mickelson. He seems like a really nice guy. After the Sony Open, he called me on my cell phone. I don't even know how he got my number, but he called and left a message. I was in school when he called but I didn't get in trouble with the teachers so that was good.

PGATOUR.com: What's your favorite thing to do with your friends?

Fujikawa: Hang out and go to the mall or the movies or something.

PGATOUR.com: What sports team(s) do you root for?

Fujikawa: I don't know, I don't really have any. I support Hawaii.

PGATOUR.com: Best memory from your hometown?

Fujikawa: Probably the Sony Open, that was unbelievable. There were so many people out there. I've never experienced anything like it.

PGATOUR.com: Which place are you most excited about visiting while on TOUR?

Fujikawa: Probably Augusta National. It has so much history and it's beautiful up there. Hopefully one day I can play there.

PGATOUR.com: If you won the Reno-Tahoe Open, what's the first thing you would buy?

Fujikawa: I wouldn't buy anything, I'd put it in a bank account. I'd probably buy a chocolate cake with a lot of candles to celebrate.

PGATOUR.com: There's nothing that you would splurge on? You're 16 now. How about a new car?

Fujikawa: I don't have my license yet so I wouldn't buy a car. Well maybe I would for later.

PGATOUR.com: What would make this week a success for you?

Fujikawa: I want to make the cut, that's my main goal. I'm out there to win. I think that's everyone's goal. That's definitely my goal. I want to go out there and do the best that I can, hit the best shot that I can and hopefully everything works out.
