•  Complete Brackets

• Nick O'Hern and Stephen Ames have yet to trail in any of their three matches. O'Hern has led in 36 of 52 holes he has played and Ames has led in 39 of 47 holes played.

• England has two players (Justin Rose and Paul Casey) in the final eight, as does Australia (Geoff Ogilvy and Nick O'Hern). The United States has one player (Chad Campbell) left, as do South Africa (Trevor Immelman), Sweden (Henrik Stenson) and Canada (Stephen Ames).

• Despite not making it this year, Tiger Woods has made the most appearances in the quarterfinals, with four (1999, 2000, 2003, 2004). David Toms (2002, 2003, 2005), Davis Love III (2000, 2004, 2006) and Nick O'Hern (2001, 2005, 2007) have each made it three times.

• The lowest seeds to advance on Friday were No. 18 Nick O'Hern, No. 40 Chad Campbell and No. 46 Stephen Ames.

• Of the players remaining in the field, defending champion Geoff Ogilvy has the best record, a perfect 9-0 in his two appearances. Nick O'Hern and Chad Campbell are both 10-3, while Trevor Immelman is 4-3. Justin Rose is 4-2, while Henrik Stenson is 4-1, Stephen Ames is 3-2 and Paul Casey is 3-4.

• Nick O'Hern's victory over Tiger Woods (20 holes) was the only match to go extra holes on Friday. He is also the lone left-handed participant alive among the original four in the field.

• Nick O'Hern collected his seventh runner-up finish on the European Tour when Retief Goosen came from behind to win the Commercialbank Qatar Master in January. O'Hern holds the European Tour record for the most runner-up finishes without a victory at seven, and he has one runner-up finish on the PGA TOUR -- he tied for second at the 2006 Booz Allen Classic.
