Pick: Kenny Perry
Perry has been one of the most consistent players on TOUR over the last month or so. The only thing missing is a win and Milwaukee would be a great place to grab one considering it's a venue he's won at before (2003). In his last four starts on the PGA TOUR, Perry has finished no worse than in a tie for 15th and his best finish was a tie for third at the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley. He's the player to beat this week.

Pick: Tim Clark
Difficult to believe this guy didn't make it into the Open Championship under one of the 647 exemption categories, but he's played a thin schedule (18 starts in the last 51 weeks). In that time he's had eight top-10s (including last week's runner-up disappointment at the John Deere Classic) so he's clearly one of the most experienced players in this field. If he can keep his mind in Milwaukee, he has an excellent chance.

Pick: Anthony Kim
Sure, Kim could still be considered a sleeper since he hasn't earned a win this season nor does he sit near the top of the Official World Golf Rankings. But he's going to be a winner before long, as the youngest rookie on the PGA TOUR this season had a much-heralded arrival and has lived up to the hype, notching four top-10 finishes and finishing in the top-25 in four of his last six starts.

It's a tough call here because Steve Elkington is playing well, too. Just not as well as Perry, who, we must add, won the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee in 2003 by two strokes. Would he rather be at the British Open in Scotland? It depends on whether or not he wins at Brown Deer Park Golf Course this week.

His game appears to be rounding into form considering he hasn't been outside the top 15 in his last four events. He has as good a chance as anyone in this wide-open event at Brown Deer Park. The former champion tied for 15th in 2006 and seventh in 2004, his last two starts at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Pick: Tim Clark
Tim Clark wanted desperately to be at Carnoustie this week. He lost his chance, though, when he squandered a three-shot lead over the final nine holes on Sunday at the John Deere Classic. In addition to that solo second last week, though, the young South African has also tied for 12th and 17th in his last three starts. He's close to his first PGA TOUR win, and if he can forget his disappointment and gain confidence instead, this week could be the one.

Pick: Tim Clark
He probably should have won his first PGA TOUR title last week at the John Deere Classic until Jonathan Byrd streaked by him. Clark is used to being in majors, not playing opposite them, and he might find extra motivation in that circumstance as well as getting mowed over at the John Deere. Plus, this South African seems to play tree-lined courses rather well, and Brown Deer Park Golf Course is an arborfest.
