Pick: Robert Allenby
Allenby won at Cog Hill in 2000 and will need a solid finish this week to lock up a spot in THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola, as he enters the BMW Championship at No. 24 in the FedExCup standings. Allenby comes into Cog Hill with some confidence after an eighth place finish last week at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He also has a nice track record at Cog Hill. Aside from the win, he's recorded five top-30 finishes in each of the last five years.

Pick: Lucas Glover
Poor Lucas -- it must be frustrating to come so close each week and never get a win. Since the first week in July, Glover has only missed one cut and finished outside the top-25 just twice (and one of those was a tie for 27th). That's ok, though, as a consolation for his winless but superb season Glover has earned nearly $1.5 million and a spot on Jack Nicklaus' Presidents Cup team. But it could be nice for Glover to have a victory cap off the end of a stellar run and to carry momentum into THE TOUR Championship and the Presidents Cup.

Pick: Jerry Kelly
Like so many others, he's fighting to hang onto his spot at East Lake. He's also fighting for respect. Look at it this way, he's won here and had two other top 10s. All he has to do is stay out of his own way and play the way he did at The Barclays.

Just a hunch. He likes the area and tied for ninth at The Barclays. He could surprise.

Jerry Kelly hasn't been in the winner's circle since 2002, and that July 4th weekend he won right here at Cog Hill. The Midwestern crowd cheered him on every step of the way. If there is any player in the field who can sway the partisan fans away from the world No. 1 it is Jerome. He is hungry, and he is playing as close to home as he has all year.

He was extremely steady last week at the Deutsche Bank Championship, finishing alone in eighth. Plus he's a former champion at Cog Hill and he has finished tied for 30th, 16th, 11th and sixth in his last four starts.

Another solid season could move to the realm of rewarding if he were to capture this playoff event, which he won five years ago. He has three top-five finishes at Cog Hill, so he can manage his game on the Dubsdread Course. With seven top-10s this year Kelly has been knocking on some doors. Maybe one closer to his Wisconsin home will allow him to cross the threshold as a winner again.
