| May. 24, 2007 Who can win? Tournament Coverage Play TOUR Fantasy Games Which player may surprise some folks in this weekend's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial? Our experts weigh in: T.J. Auclair PGATOUR.com Interactive Producer Pick: Tim Herron This has not been a good season so far for the man affectionately known as "Lumpy." In 13 starts in 2007, he's missed the cut nine times. His best finish? That would be a tie for 19th in the season-opening, limited-field Mercedes-Benz Championship. Next best finish? A tie for 31st in consecutive weeks in Mexico and The Honda Classic. So what makes me think Lumpy could get the job done in Fort Worth? Actually, it's the insanely obvious -- the man is the defending champion. Sometimes all it takes for a player to get back on the right track is playing at a place where good memories come back to the mind. Look for Lumpy to turn the tide this week. Brett Avery The Fantasy Insider Pick: Bo Van Pelt Doesnšt seem possible that hešs 52nd in FedExCup points or 15th in scoring average but hešs posted three top 20s in his last six starts. His first three starts at Colonial CC were ties for 12th, 17th and fifth so hešs shown a strong affinity for the place. Hešs also one of the strongest Sunday players on TOUR this season (69.73, sixth) even with a 76 the last day in the Arnold Palmer Invitational (tied 22nd). Lauren Deason PGATOUR.com Editorial Coordinator Pick: Heath Slocum He had a nice start to the year, with three top 10s and just one missed cut, but he missed the cut at last week's AT&T Classic and, results-wise, hasn't fared so well lately. Neither has he finished well at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in the past, with just one made cut amidst a handful of starts. The two-time PGA TOUR winner, however, could get his year back on track with solid play at Colonial. Dave Lagarde PGATOUR.com Correspondent Pick: Ted Purdy On the improve in his last two events, a T24 at Wachovia and a T16 at The Players Championship. Hasn't fared well in Fort Worth, but if he stays hot he can get into contention. John Maginnes PGATOUR.com Contributor Pick: Corey Pavin Corey Pavin should have another solid performance at Colonial this week. The course is playing firm and fast. In addition the rough is up and the wind should certainly be blowing. He won on one of the shorter courses on TOUR last year in Milwaukee. Colonial should fit Corey like a good pair of boots. Helen Ross PGATOUR.com Chief of Correspondents Pick: Carl Pettersson He was one round away from turning top-20s into top-10s at the Wachovia Championship and THE PLAYERS Championship. He's worked hard to get his game into shape for his title defense at next week's Memorial Tournament and it could pay off here. Dave Shedloski PGATOUR.com Senior Correspondent Pick: K.J. Choi K.J. Choi. We had many good candidates here: Brett Wetterich, Jonathan Byrd, Steve Elkington, but Choi is the pick, given his decent Colonial record and the fact that he has been sort of lurking just beneath the leaderboard for several weeks without breaking through to a top finish. Don't know if he can handle a shootout if it gets damp, but he's 22nd in scoring this year, so he gets it in the hole fast enough on most occasions.
