Pick: Jesper Parnevik
The Swede is coming off his two best starts of the season. He placed 15th at the Verizon Heritage and finished in a tie for 28th last week in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Parnevik is due for a good season. He's one of the hardest workers on TOUR -- a true range rat, nearly right up there with Vijay Singh. Parnevik won in Dallas in 2000 when he edged no less than Davis Love III and Phil Mickelson in a playoff. I think this tournament will bring back some old, good vibes and that will serve him well.

Pick: Sean O'Hair
He's been on a nice little tear lately with four straight tournaments at a tie for 15th or better. He lost out to Ted Purdy in a 2005 runner-up finish in his debut at the TPC Las Colinas and Cottonwood Valley, then tied for 19th last year with two rounds deep in the 60s. If you're looking for Texas roots, hešs got them, too -- he was born in Lubbock.

Pick: Brandt Snedeker
Last year, Brett Wetterich became the second consecutive player (Ted Purdy did it in 2005) to earn his first careere victory at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship. The past three weeks, Zach Johnson, Boo Weekley and Nick Watney -- three former Nationwide Tour players -- have won on TOUR. To continue both of these streaks, former Nationwide Tour player Brandt Snedeker could earn his first PGA TOUR title at the TPC Las Colinas, where he tied for 27th in 2004. So far In 2007, the TOUR rookie has finished in the top 25 four times, including a solo third at the Buick Invitational, where he shot a course record-tying 61 in the first round.

Pick: Justin Leonard
Yep. Out of the blue? Maybe, but maybe not. He's back in his comfort zone with Randy Smith, grew up in Dallas, has a great record here at the Nelson and he's turned the corner this season. His buddy Harrison Frazar is right there, too, but we're going with Justin -- better Nelson stats.

Dave Lagarde

Pick: Scott Verplank

He's off to a slow start, but a return to his roots could jumpstart this veteran's engine. He withdrew last year from the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, but had four top-15s in his previous five starts there.

Pick: Sean O'Hair
After missing the cut in six of his first seven events, O'Hair has made a fortuitous about-face. He hasn't finished lower than 15th, which came last week at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, in his last four starts. Not to mention, O'Hair has confidence at the TPC Las Colinas where he finished second in 2005 and tied for 19th last year.

Pick: Chad Campbell
Other than a fourth-place finish at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, Campbell has struggled all season. Perhaps some golf in his home state will help. Campbell, who finished fifth at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship a year ago, hasn't been in the top 20 in a stroke play event in 2007 and has fallen to 35th in the world rankings. He hasn't broken par in his last nine rounds. Here's to golf deep in the heart of Texas.
