THE PLAYERS tickets nearly sold out, but packages still available PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- THE PLAYERS Championship, May 7-13, is less than a month away, and thanks to a new date, upgrades to The PLAYERS Stadium Course, a new state-of-the-art clubhouse and numerous fan enhancements -- interest in the 34th staging of this prestigious event is at an all-time high. ![]() The new clubhouse at TPC Sawgrass streches to nearly 70,000 square feet. (WireImage) Tournament officials have announced that while many corporate sales packages for THE PLAYERS are already sold out, limited grounds tickets and corporate packages for the PGA TOUR's crown jewel event are available but going fast. "The interest in this year's PLAYERS is unprecedented," said Executive Director Brian Goin. "There's so much anticipation about all that's new to see and experience. Add to that the promise of the best players in the world taking on this incredible golf course, and I think fans realize this is going to be a can't-miss event." Clubhouse Badges and tickets are no longer available, but fans can still purchase the new Champions Club tickets, giving them access to the clubhouse with the added bonus of access to the Champions Club -- a new hospitality tent located between the 16th and 18th fairways where food and beverage are available for purchase. Also new this year and not yet sold-out is the Marquee Club, a hospitality venue located adjacent to the 16th green with a great view of the famed 17th hole. A lunch buffet, full-bar service and hors d'oeuvres will be served complimentary in the Marquee Club Thursday through Sunday. Other tickets/packages that are still available (limited quantity) include: "Sales of our tickets and packages have exceeded all expectations," said Goin. "We've created some additional packages to meet the demand, all of which guarantee a unique way to entertain clients and experience this premier sporting event." The sold-out tickets and corporate packages include: Goin reports that a limited number of grounds passes are still available. In addition, parking passes are expected to sell out. While parking at TPC Sawgrass is free to the general public during practice rounds (May 7-9), beginning on Thursday, May 10, all on-site parking will require a parking pass that must be purchased in advance. Beginning Thursday, parking will be available free of charge at the University of North Florida (UNF Lot), where spectators will ride a complimentary shuttle to the tournament. The UNF Lot is located off of J.
