Which player will take the honors in this weekend's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am? Our experts weigh in:

T.J. Auclair

Pick: Davis Love III
Since 1999, Love has been hit or miss on the Monterey Peninsula with four top-10s -- two of those being wins (2003 and 2001) -- two missed cuts, a tie for 20th and a tie for 33rd. Its been a mediocre start to the 2007 season for Love, but he's made the cut in two full-field events and finished in a tie for fourth at the season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship, which is a no-cut, winners-only event. He's as comfortable as anyone at Pebble Beach and it will serve him well this week.

Pick: Mike Weir
This season's shaping for him up like the last few, with a habitually sluggish start (two mid-pack finishes including a tie for 32nd in last weeks FBR Open). Then he gets to the Monterey Peninsula and all the woes drop away (top 10 in six of the last seven AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Ams). Also playing to his advantage is a forecast for dreary weather (at least a 40 percent chance of rain each day).

Pick: Mike Weir
Weir hasn't missed a cut the past seven times he has played at Pebble Beach, finishing in the top 10 six of those seven. At the very least, he should earn another top-10, but the popular Canadian could, at best, pick up a first to go with his tie for third last year and a second in 2005 at this event.

Pick: Mike Weir
I thought about Jim Furyk and took a long look at Vijay, who was closing down the range at the FBR Open. But this brain keeps going back to Mike Weir. He's put in the work and the Peninsula always jumpstarts his season. Try six top-10s here in his last seven AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Ams.

Pick: Vijay Singh
A hot final round at the FBR Open should lead to good things for Singh in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am where he owns a victory and five other top-10s in 12 starts. For those scoring at home, that's a 50 percent top-10 success rate.
John Maginnes

Pick: Padraig Harrington
Paddy is making his debut in the U.S. He is here because he won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last fall, which is a similar event played on the European Tour. He is a proven winner all over the world. Not to mention that the weather this week is far more like Ireland than sunny California.

Pick: Vijay Singh
His record at Pebble Beach speaks for itself. Singh won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in 2004 and he has five other top-10s there, including last year's tie for seventh. What impresses me most, though, is the tall Fijian's single-minded focus, which could come in handy with the distractions presented by what is unfortunately a wet forecast.

Pick: Davis Love III
The two-time champion is coming off a seemingly indifferent performance at the FBR Open, but he closed with a 6-under-par 65 at the TPC Scottsdale, which might be just the kick-start he needs to once again run the table on the Monterey Peninsula.
Mike Vitti
PGATOUR.com ShotLink Analyst
Pick: Vijay Singh
Without the benefit of ShotLink on two of the three courses this week, selecting a player by the numbers becomes a bit more about past performance and current results and less about the type of player who may fit the course. With that being said, I think Vijay Singh is the player to watch this week. He has six top-10s in eleven appearances at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, including a victory in 2004 and enters this week sixth in putts made over 10 feet per event.
