Love healing, but not likely to be back until February SEA ISLAND, Ga. -- Although his rehabilitation after ankle surgery last month is on schedule, Davis Love III probably won't be back in action on the PGA TOUR until the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February, according to an article on his website. Love has been out of action since late September when he suffered a severe injury to his left ankle during a casual round of golf. "Davis has done a great job during the post-operation period and is ready for the rehab recovery," said Dr. Melvin Deese, who diagnosed and performed surgery on Love. "He has maintained a good bit of strength in the ligaments of the ankle and should have little problem reaching complete recovery status in the coming weeks." Love was scheduled to play in two Challenge Season events -- the Del Webb Father-Son Challenge and the Target World Challenge. He has withdrawn from both in order to concentrate on his recovery and the 2008 season. |
