Presidents Cup: How the U.S. team stands

If the Presidents Cup field was selected today, the United States team would have three rookies (Zach Johnson, Brett Wetterich, John Rollins).

Rollins would be the only true rookie -- Johnson and Wetterich played in the Ryder Cup in 2006.

Johnson's win in the AT&T Classic all but assures him a place on the squad. Scoitt Verplank, who won this month in the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, is making a late push to make the Presidents Cup squad for the second straight time. Verplank was a workhorse in the 2005 Presidents Cup, playing in five matches.

Eligibility rankings are used to select 10 members for the team. Captain Jack Nicklaus will make two Captain's Picks to round out the 12-man team.
