LPGA Tour Notebook: Creamer raises money for First Tee Paula Creamer, who recently won the SBS Open at Turtle Bay, hosted a Saturday fundraiser for the First Tee of Sarasota/Manatee at the River Strand Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. In the nine-hole celebrity exhibition match, Creamer's team, which included Champions Tour player Tony Jacklin, played Andy Bean and his team, which also included tennis legend Ivan Lendl. MULTI-MILLIONAIRE: South Korean Jeong Jang, who is in her eighth year on the LPGA Tour, surpassed the $4 million mark in career earnings with her tie for 31st at the Fields Open in Hawaii. Jang, a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour, has amassed $4,008,480 in career earnings. She became a first-time winner at the 2005 Weetabix Women's British Open, one of four major championships on the LPGA Tour schedule. She won again in 2006 at the Wegmans LPGA. TAKING THE TOP SPOT: With her second career win at the Fields Open in Hawaii, Stacy Prammanasudh took the lead in the 2007 ADT Points race with 205,285 points. Prammanasudh, who earned 180,000 ADT Points for her win, took the top spot from Paula Creamer, who now ranks second with 187,142 ADT Points. Prammanasudh has the early edge in the qualifying for the ADT Championship, where the winner will walk away with a record $1 million paycheck. ROOKIE RACE IS ON: Angela Park, 18, used her tie for third place at the Fields Open in Hawaii to earn 75 points in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year race. Park ranks first in points and has 92 points after earning 17 points at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay. She holds a 51-point lead over Paige Mackenzie. Mackenzie earned 36 points after the SBS Open at Turtle Bay with a 17th-place finish and added five more points for making the cut at the Fields Open. SEE YOU AT SAFEWAY: UCLA freshman Sydnee Michaels won the 2007 Safeway International Amateur Open on Feb. 22 to secure her spot in Safeway International, Mar. 22-25 at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Superstition Mountain, Ariz. SHOE-IN: Two-time LPGA Tour winner Carin Koch will wear Ecco shoes in 2007 under a new endorsement agreement. She also will appear in company promotional and advertising materials. Koch is a four-time member of the European Solheim Cup Team (2000, 2002, 2003, 2005) and Ecco has been designated the official footwear sponsor of the 2007 European Solheim Cup Team. Also on the sponsorship front, Heather Young has signed a deal with Adams Golf in which she will play Adams Golf equipment, wear the Adams Golf logo and carry an Adams Golf staff bag.
