A closer look at TPC of Scottsdale's 16th hole

Jan. 30, 2007

The 16th hole at the TPC Scottsdale annually attracts the kind of crowd you might expect to see at an NFL game -- not a golf tournament like the FBR Open.

The fans who fill the stadium-like oval that surrounds the tee on the 162-yard par-3 critique each shot -- loudly -- and aren't adverse to booing the ones they don't like. Still, judging by statistics powered by ShotLink, the commotion doesn't seem to throw the PGA TOUR pros off their game.
